Celebrating Innovation and Public Health During National Pest Management Month
The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) proudly celebrated April 2025 as National Pest Management Month (NPMM), honoring the essential role of pest management professionals in safeguarding public health, food, and property. This annual observance, organized by the Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), recognized the dedication and expertise of everyone in the industry — from service professionals to customer service representatives, sales personnel, and managers.
Under the theme "Innovation in Action: Advancing Pest Management for a Healthier Tomorrow," NPMA created a special webpage to help the industry celebrate the vital contributions of pest management professionals in protecting communities nationwide. The dedicated online resource offered tools for professionals to thank team members, colleagues, and coworkers for their commitment to excellence.
Throughout the month, NPMA encouraged industry members to engage in celebratory activities. These included sending customizable e-cards to colleagues, sharing appreciation posts using the hashtag #NPMM on social media, and utilizing downloadable graphics and sample copy to highlight the industry's dedication to ensuring healthier, safer communities.
This recognition program was proudly sponsored by Syngenta, whose support underscored the industry's commitment to collaborative efforts in addressing pest-related challenges and promoting sustainable solutions.
"We were grateful to Syngenta for their continued partnership in developing and enhancing this important industry recognition program," said Dominique Stumpf, CEO of NPMA. "As we celebrated another year of National Pest Management Month, we reminded the public that pest management is fundamental to protecting public health, preserving food supplies, and safeguarding properties from damage."
Pest management professionals across the country were invited to join the celebration, share their stories about contributing to public health protection, and engage their communities online using #NPMM. National Pest Management Month served as a pivotal opportunity for industry-wide education, outreach, and celebration.
