QualityPro Certificates: Find Yours Today!
QualityPro has been setting the standards for professionalism in pest management since 2004. The QualityPro accreditation and service certifications each include a training and testing step to verify that every employee who will perform or sell for an accredited company has the knowledge needed to do the job and exemplify the professionalism of our industry. The certificates of completion earned from passing QualityPro’s exams mark career milestones and have value to customers and companies across U.S. and Canada. Now, all are easy to find at NPMAQualityPro.org/certificate.
A National Level of Knowledge
Each state and province across the U.S. and Canada has their own requirements for what a person needs to prove in order to do pest control. The state license exams are focused on technical and safety topics. While these are essential, they are not everything. Like the QualityPro standards, the exams cover many aspects of what it means to be professional in pest management. An individual that has earned the QualityPro Core Exam’s certificate of completion has proven knowledge of the technical aspects of the job, safety, sales and customer service.
Preparing employees to pass the QualityPro exam leads companies to provide well-rounded training. Companies earning and maintaining QualityPro accreditation use the content in the QualityPro Study Guide as a basis for their training programs. Although the study guide and exams are only available (for free) to companies earning and maintaining QualityPro, the outline of topics is now included in the V6.1 standards. The testing and training standard is at NPMAQualityPro.org/testing. We encourage every company to use this list of training topics to build their new hire training.
Point of Pride
Earning the QualityPro Core Exam certificate marks an employee’s transition to pest management professional, and their entry into a world of ever-growing excellence. We love going into offices and seeing certificates of completion hung up at employees’ desks. Office staff also have the opportunity to prove their knowledge through the QualityPro exams—a rare opportunity for an industry credential for these essential team members.
In this tight labor market, your company must be ready to present opportunities for career advancement and professional development in order to recruit and retain talent. Companies can mark points in a career pathway with QualityPro credentials. The exams and certificates offered are:
• QualityPro Core
• QualityPro Schools
• Pest Management in Food Processing & Handling Facilities
• Public Health Core
• Rodent Specialist
• Mosquito Specialist
• Manager Training
All are available at npmatraining.org.
You often see us celebrating companies that have received QualityPro accreditation or earned a certification for their service. The certificates of completion earned by individuals should be celebrated too. When someone earns a certificate from QualityPro, not only have they achieved something for themselves, but they’ve achieved something for their company and their industry. Each certificate represents more than just the training they’ve received, it represents a tangible step they’ve taken to improve their own and their company’s position within the pest management world. QualityPro has issued more than 121,000 certificates to individuals over the years. Each and every one has helped move our industry forward.
As we see greater adoption of QualityPro accreditation by consumers outside of our industry, we see more and more customers specifically requesting the certificates of the technicians working on their properties. Buildings certified through the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED program earn points towards their pest management program by hiring companies offering GreenPro-certified services performed by GreenPro credentialed technicians. Greater accessibility of certificates through the new certificate search tool at npmaqualitypro.org/certificate serves to benefit technicians, their companies and the industry as a whole.
