Pest Management Foundation Announces Five New Endowed Scholarships
The Pest Management Foundation has five new scholarships as part of its new endowed scholarship program.
First announced at PestWorld 2022 in Boston, the Foundation’s endowed scholarship program allows donors to establish an endowed scholarship that can be custom-named for individuals, companies, or organizations. Criteria for scholarship awards are flexible and also determined by the donor. The minimum gift to establish an endowed scholarship is $25,000 and gifts may be paid all at once, or over a five-year period.
The new scholarships are:
All-American Pest Control Steam Trailblazer Scholarship, endowed by All-American Pest Control
The All-American Pest Control STEAM Trailblazer Scholarship is a distinguished program that honors and empowers outstanding young women with a drive to excel in science, technology, engineering, arts, or mathematics (STEAM). This scholarship is a platform to uplift young women who embody All-Americans’ core values of servant leadership, thoughtful innovation, respectfulness, teamwork, and reliability while nurturing their passion for STEAM education. All-American Pest Control is a female-led company, and we aim to celebrate and support one remarkable female individual as they pursue a career in STEAM.
Arrow Exterminators Endowed Scholarship, endowed by Arrow Exterminators
Arrow Exterminators has been protecting the health and property of customers for more than 58 years. From humble beginnings in 1964 when the company started in the back of a beauty parlor, to where we are today operating in 12 states with 165 locations and revenues exceeding $350 million dollars. Part of Arrow’s mission has always been to support the communities that support us. This scholarship is another way of doing just that, giving back to those communities.
Arrow Exterminators is proud to establish and support this $25,000 scholarship program that will carry the Arrow name into the future in perpetuity. This scholarship will be awarded annually and reflect Arrow’s commitment to the industry and is designed to be complimentary to existing scholarships within Arrow and the industry.
Emily and Hugh Kendrick Family Scholarship, endowed by Emily and Hugh Kendrick
The Emily & Hugh Kendrick Family Scholarship is designed to be awarded to a student from one of the Kendrick Families home states of Georgia (Emily Thomas Kendrick) or Wyoming (Hugh Cumming Kendrick), or from their adopted state of Colorado. “We remain bullish about the future growth of this great industry and we’re committed to the development of the next generation of pest management professionals through the support of students pursuing higher education.” noted Emily Thomas Kendrick, CEO of Arrow Exterminators and Treasurer of NPMA.
Joe Thomas Endowed Scholarship, endowed by Arrow Exterminators
Arrow Exterminators is proud to establish and support this scholarship program that will carry the name of Arrow’s owner and visionary, Joe Thomas, into the future in perpetuity. The year 2022 represents the 50th year that Joe has been serving the pest management industry and Arrow is honored to establish this scholarship in his honor. This scholarship will be awarded annually to reflect Arrow’s commitment to the industry and is designed to be complimentary to existing scholarships within Arrow and the industry.
Sprague Pest Solutions Scholarship, endowed by Sprague Pest Solutions
Sprague Pest Solutions has generously endowed the Sprague Pest Solutions Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student each year whose studies focus on urban entomology, rodentology, or biological sciences.
These new endowed scholarships join the 3 programs previously announced:
