Empowering Excellence | Advancing Our Industry
Dear NPMA Members,
In the infamous words of Hellen Keller, “Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.” And that’s precisely how I feel about our industry and about your national association. As NPMA turns the chapter on our 90th anniversary, it is simply amazing how much we have achieved together as we look forward to a bright future of collective growth. Across the US and around the world, NPMA members are working diligently to protect public health, property and the food supply from the disease and damage spread by pest infestations. With the prevalence of West Nile Virus, Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), Lyme disease, and other pest related illnesses, pest professionals are more essential now than ever.
Over the past 12 months, our industry has achieved so much together. From the inclusion of preemption language in the base text of the U.S. Farm Bill to our status as a select Department of Defense SkillBridge partner, NPMA continues to pursue proactive initiatives to benefit members of all service types and sizes. And to make things easier to access, NPMA recently relaunched the association’s website to feature benefits, technical materials and exclusive resources available to members.
As we enter the 2024 – 2025 fiscal year, I’m excited to celebrate a number of achievements. The professional staff here in DC are some of the best in the business and the team is focused on advocating for your needs at a local, state and federal level. This year, we are anticipating a record-breaking attendance in Denver, celebrating QualityPro’s 20th anniversary, expanding the support of our partner associations, launching a new technician certification program, and implementing our membership growth initiative. Our volunteer leaders continue to propel us forward with committees and task forces focused on new sustainability and operational efficiencies initiatives, public policy strategies, workforce development growth, and DEI efforts.
I hope you’ll join me at one of the many NPMA conferences taking place this year, whether it’s the Women’s Forum, Rodenticide workshops, or regional meetings. We look forward to working closely together to continue our storied tradition of advancing this great industry, and if there’s anything we can do to support your company, don’t hesitate to reach out anytime.
Look forward to seeing you soon and thanks for your membership!
Sincerely,
Dominique Stumpf, CAE
Chief Executive Officer, NPMA
