The NPMA Excellence in Sustainability Award recognizes pest management companies that demonstrate exceptional commitment to sustainable business practices and environmental stewardship within the pest control industry.
As sustainability becomes increasingly important for organizational success and environmental responsibility, NPMA and Nisus have established this prestigious award that celebrates companies making a difference through their sustainable practices.
Award Criteria
Companies nominated for this award are evaluated based on:
- Implementation of efficient routing and service practices that reduce environmental impact
- Smart office design and energy-efficient facility management
- Adoption of integrated pest management (IPM) techniques that minimize chemical use
- Waste reduction and recycling initiatives
- Innovative approaches to sustainable pest control solutions
- Community environmental education and outreach efforts
Nomination Process
Nominations may be submitted as self-nominations or nominations of other pest management companies. Nominees should provide:
- A description of their sustainable business practices with specific examples of how these are implemented throughout the company.
- Information about environmental initiatives (including waste reduction, energy efficiency, sustainable product selection, etc.)
- Details about what makes their approach to sustainability unique within the industry
- Please list anything else that demonstrates your company's commitment to sustainability (Open ended).

The call for nominations is now open. The deadline for submissions is Monday, June 30, 2025.
