Bed Bug Laws and Regulations
NPMA created our national “Bed Bug Laws and Regulations” document as an easy resource for pest management professionals, entomologists, regulators, legislators, and others to quickly ascertain current rules and regulations regarding bed bugs. These regulations are aimed at protecting public health from bed bug infestations and can range from delineating responsibility between landlords and tenants in addressing bed bugs in residences to preventing tenants from moving into a dwelling with an active bed bug presence. In our resource, you will find citations, summaries, and links for all states that have specific bed bug regulations. Please reach out to the NPMA public policy team with any questions.
