NPMA Releases 2025–2026 Impact Report: "Protecting What Matters"
NPMA has released its 2025–2026 Impact Report, Protecting What Matters. The report reviews a fiscal year of record growth across advocacy, workforce development, education, and events, and it previews the initiatives planned for the year ahead.
"Our theme this year is Protecting What Matters," said NPMA President Mike Bullert of Big Time Pest Control. "For our industry, that is more than a slogan. It defines the work we do every day."
A Year of Results
The report covers NPMA's work across every major program area. Highlights include:
- Advocacy: NPMA and its state partners tracked more than 350 bills nationwide and recorded just one legislative loss. Nearly 40 harmful bills were defeated in Massachusetts alone. A record 475 members attended Legislative Day, and more than 230 of them visited Capitol Hill offices from 40 states.
- Workforce: NPMA launched the industry's first national workforce awareness campaign. It generated 2.17 million impressions and outperformed benchmarks on every platform tested. Job postings on pestcontroljobs.com rose 167% to 25,695.
- Education: The rebuilt Online Learning Center recorded 2,858 course completions, a 37% increase over the prior year. NPMA also developed its first licensure course in partnership with a state Department of Agriculture and released the fully revised 2026 Pest Management Standards for Food Processing and Handling Facilities.
- Standards: NPMA Pro Certified reached 80 credential holders, with 313 more registered for the exam. QualityPro accredited 21 new companies.
- Research: A historic $1 million commitment from the Gary W. Rollins Foundation established the PMF Legacy Fund. Supporters have already contributed $382,000 toward the fund's goal.
- Membership and events: NPMA welcomed 398 new members and achieved an 85.6% retention rate. PestWorld 2025 in Orlando drew more than 4,500 attendees, and Academy celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Looking Ahead
The report also outlines NPMA's priorities for FY27:
- LAUNCH: Pest Management Career Summit. This is the industry's first student career summit. It will take place March 8–10, 2027, at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
- New forecasting tools. NPMA will add industry data from ITR Economics and IMPLAN.
- Culture & Engagement Committee. This new committee launches in September 2026.
- Small-business roundtable. A second Business Leaders Roundtable will focus on small businesses.
"This association has never been better positioned to protect what matters — for our members, and for the public we serve," said NPMA CEO Dominique Stumpf, CAE.
