Abell Pest Control Legacy Scholarship Award
The Pest Management Foundation has a number of scholarships for students. The application period is now closed. Scholarship applications are accepted from October 1 through November 30th each year. Scholarship recipients will be notified in mid-January.

Award Amount: One (1) award per year totaling $1,000
Abell Pest Control has generously established the Abell Pest Control Legacy Scholarship Award. This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to a high school senior or university student currently enrolled at an accredited institution in the United States or Canada. This award was established to support those who demonstrate a strong commitment to Abell Pest Control's core values of integrity, empathy, reliability, innovation, and giving back to their community. Preference will be given to students pursuing studies in fields aligned with the pest management industry.
Scholarship Criteria
- Full time student in good academic standing with an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled as high school seniors or college/trade school students in an accredited institution within the United States or Canada.
- Students must demonstrate a strong commitment to Abell Pest Control’s core values of integrity, empathy, reliability, innovation and giving back to their community.
- Preference will be given to students pursuing studies in fields aligned with and supportive of the pest management industry including (but not limited to) pest management, environmental science, urban entomology, rodentology, biological sciences, agriculture, food safety, public health, hospitality, property and facilities management, business operations, sustainability and technology-related programs.
- Preference given to applicants located in Canada or one of the following US states in which Abell conducts business: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Florida.
- Preference given to those whose families serve in the pest management industry, or those who demonstrate a meaningful connection to the pest management industry through academic research, professional experience, or other relevant exposure.
Application Submission Requirements
- Resume or curriculum vita.
- Current unofficial academic transcript.
- A one-page (minimum) essay describing the applicant’s professional goals and aspirations and how he/she plans to use their studies to contribute to their field of study.
- At least one (1) letter of recommendation from individuals who can speak to the applicant’s work ethic, academic progress, and how he/she plans to use their studies to contribute to their field.
