NPMA Mourns the Loss of Past-President Vernon L. McKinzie
Vernon L. McKinzie of Emporia, Kansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026. In 1960, he opened a branch of Schendel Pest Control in Emporia, later purchasing and renaming the business McKinzie Pest Control. Vernon was a respected leader in the pest management industry, serving twice as president of the Kansas Pest Control Association and as president of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) in 1984–85. His leadership and dedication left a lasting mark on the industry.

Joe Long wins inaugural Keyman Award with Indiana Pest Management Association
The IPMA Keyman Award recognizes a member who goes above and beyond their normal responsibilities to promote the mission and values of the IPMA. Through leadership, advocacy, mentorship, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, they elevate not only our Association, but everyone fortunate enough to work alongside them. Every inaugural award sets the standard for every recipient who follows. When it came time to choose that standard, only one name surfaced. Joe Long.

Justice Pest Services Acquires Triple L Pest Control
Justice Pest Services has acquired Triple L Pest Control, expanding its coverage across Cedar Park and Williamson County. The move grows Justice's service capacity in the greater Austin area while preserving Triple L's team and customer relationships.
"We are honored to carry on the legacy that Les Parnell and his team have built," said owner Caleb Cunningham.
Triple L customers will transition to the Justice Pest Services brand with no service disruption and full access to Justice's service offerings.
