Call for Nominations Open for 2026 David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award
NPMA is pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 David Cooksey PestVet of the Year Award. The nomination period will remain open through January 30, 2026.
This prestigious award honors a U.S. military veteran for their support and commitment to military veterans, their families, and fellow pest control professionals. The award recognizes the inspiration and contributions David Cooksey made to the pest management industry and the lasting impact he had on the lives of his military family and colleagues.
David was a passionate advocate for veterans, helping them transition into civilian careers. The PestVet of the Year Award continues his legacy by celebrating individuals who embody his values and provide military veterans with opportunities and a sense of community within the pest control industry.
Nomination Criteria
To be eligible for nomination, individuals must be:
- An honorably discharged (DD214) veteran of the U.S. Military
- Currently employed by an NPMA member company
Nominees will be evaluated based on their leadership in community volunteer activities, contributions to the pest control industry and their company, support provided to other veterans, and demonstration of integrity, selfless service, compassion, and dedication.
The 2026 PestVet of the Year Award recipient will be honored during a special ceremony at NPMA's 2026 Legislative Day conference.
