Pest Control Industry Focuses on Workforce Development to Support Growth in 2026
NPMA program provides unlimited job postings and recruitment solutions
FAIRFAX VA - As the pest control industry enters 2026 member companies continue to identify workforce challenges as a primary concern. NPMA's Workforce Development Program is addressing this need through proven recruitment strategies including unlimited job postings for all members launched in April 2025.
"Finding qualified workers remains the number one factor limiting growth for pest management companies," said Dominique Stumpf, CAE, CEO of NPMA. "By offering unlimited job postings to our members we're providing a valuable tool to continuously build their talent pipeline throughout the year and support sustainable business growth."
The Workforce Development Program has demonstrated success since its 2020 launch through careers.pestcontroljobs.com the industry's exclusive job board. The program's multi-channel marketing approach includes social media campaigns targeted digital advertising and partnerships with military transition programs through SkillBridge. The program raises public awareness about industry careers and drives qualified applicants to PestControlJobs.com and Careers.PestControlJobs.com. NPMA develops partnerships with established organizations that serve targeted audiences including veterans, students, older adults, women, and people from historically underrepresented groups to widen the talent pipeline. The program supports NPMA members with workforce development initiatives by providing recruitment and retention guides training and tools.
All NPMA member companies now receive unlimited job postings at careers.pestcontroljobs.com. The Workforce Development website includes sample job descriptions, presentation templates, and onboarding materials accessible at NPMAWorkforce.org. Members can also participate in the Military Hiring Program connecting transitioning military personnel with industry opportunities through the SkillBridge partnership. Professional recruitment materials for career fairs and hiring events, targeted digital advertising promoting pest control careers, and resources for attracting and retaining qualified talent are also available. For more information or to post positions visit NPMAWorkforce.org.
