NPMA Honors Larry Treleven with Prestigious Lifetime Membership
April 15, 2026 – Fairfax, VA: The National Pest Management Association is thrilled to announce that Lifetime Membership in the Association has been bestowed upon Larry Treleven, celebrating his career as a leader and unwavering dedication to the pest management industry.
"Larry is one of the icons," said Emily Thomas Kendrick, President of NPMA. “He is a true champion for the industry and has taught so many of us to carry the torch forward."
Dominique Stumpf, NPMA CEO, shared her enthusiasm: "Anyone—in the industry or not—who spends time with Larry, comes away with a great history lesson and an appreciation for professional pest management. This is such a well-deserved recognition."
In Larry’s lifetime, he watched Sprague grow from a single office in Tacoma to service centers in seven states across the Western U.S. He and his wife, Jane have three children, Angela, Ross, and Paul, who are actively involved in the business as members of the fourth generation to lead the company.
Larry is a founding member of NPMA’s Professional Pest Management Alliance that promotes the value of professional pest management services to consumers, was NPMA President from 1994-1995, and received NPMA’s 2023 Pinnacle Award along with his brother Alfie.
“Larry was one of the primary forces that helped to build the Alliance from the very beginning. His tireless advocacy for the professional pest control industry and his belief in the good work that our industry has inspired leaders industry-wide”, shared Jim Fredericks, Executive Director of the Professional Pest Management Alliance.
Ross Treleven, CEO & President of Sprague, said, “My dad’s genuine care for people has served as an inspiration for employees and industry peers alike. He truly lives service above self.”
As an NPMA Lifetime Member, Larry will receive the benefits of membership as well as complimentary registration to future PestWorlds—small tokens of appreciation for the immeasurable impact he has had on our industry.
Please join us in celebrating Larry for all he has done to professionalize and protect our great industry.
