The purchase of this online course additionally comes with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Registered Technician Workbook. This is a physical copy of the workbook that will be shipped to you upon purchase.

Per statute 02NCAC34.0313(d), an individual is required to complete 3 prerequisites before they are eligible to submit an application to obtain a Registered Technician card under the supervision of a current North Carolina Structural Pest Control Licensee or Non-Commercial Applicator.

  • Completion of the North Carolina Structural Pest Control Registered Technician Introductory Training Workbook with signatures at the end of each Unit by the Trainee (person completing the book) and the Licensee/Non-Commercial Applicator or Trainer AND Licensee/ Non-Commercial Applicator. Individuals not employed by a current NC Structural Licensee or Non-Commercial Applicator still need to sign each Unit as the Trainee.
  • A minimum of 24 hours of on-the-job training for EACH phase of structural pest control they will be performing as part of their duties.
  • Successful attendance and completion of the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services Registered Technician School or an approved equivalent program.

Once all three prerequisites have been completed, the individual’s Licensee or Non-Commercial Certified Applicator is required to complete and submit the Application for a Registered Technician and the NPMA completion certificate.

For those not working under a current NC Structural Pest Control Licensee /Non-Commercial Certified Applicator, you do not need to complete the Registered Technician Training Workbook, BUT if you do eventually want to become a Registered Technician completion of the Workbook is required.
