Social and Solitary Hymenoptera: Biology, Behavior, and Control
This training is broken up into two 30-minute lessons. Lesson One provides in depth training on the biology, behavior, identification and management of several social hymenoptera including the yellowjacket. paper wasp, hornet, honey bee, and bumblebee. In lesson two, participants review the biology, behavior, identification and management of several solitary hymenoptera including mining and digger bees, the plaster bee, yellow-faced bee, sweat and alkali bees, mason, and leaf-cutter bees. This course can also be used as an effective training aid to help users prepare to take the Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) Examination, administer through the Entomological Society of America.
