VPMA Master Technician Series: Offering PMPs a Career Advancing Opportunity
The Virginia Pest Management Association (VPMA) offers extensive training for Pest Management Professionals (PMPs) across Virginia, but we especially value educational events that give technicians both excellent training and a competitive edge. The VPMA Master Technician Series is one such opportunity. By earning the VPMA Master Technician designation, PMPs can establish themselves as experts in each of the eight pest groups covered by the program. After completing training in four of these groups, a PMP earns the title of VPMA Master Technician.
Registration is now open for the Fall session of the VPMA Master Technician Series, featuring workshops on Occasional Invaders on September 23rd and Termites on September 24th. The workshops will be held in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Led by Dr. Dini Miller and other experts from the VPMA training team, participants will learn to identify pest species using taxonomic keys and state-of-the-art microscopes. The training offers an in-depth exploration of the life stages, characteristics, and biology of each pest group, followed by exposure to all viable treatment options and effective application methods. Hands-on training will further equip attendees with the skills needed for successful pest management within each group.
