THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20
SPOUSE LUNCH FEATURING THE FOUR BITCHIN’ BABES
11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Join NPMA and the Four Bitchin' Babes for an afternoon of musical theater that focuses on the insanity of either being female or knowing a female! From school days to…well… being older than that, this year’s spouse program will humorously examines the joys and confusion of balancing life in the girl lane that’s one part comedy road show, one part celebration of hearth and home. Start with four richly gifted singer-songwriters, add 3/4 cup married life, four kids, four part harmony vocals, one piano, four guitars, one Rockin’ Pink Bass, a dollop of sharp social commentary, cheerleading pom poms, a pinch of PMS, a wardrobe of bling-bling, and you’ve got an Estrogen fueled hilarious show that celebrates the best of Babes, Boys, and Botox.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 21

OPTION ONE: FOREVER NEW ORLEANS
10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Take the ultimate tour of New Orleans! Begin with Jackson Square in the famed Vieux Carre', site of St. Louis Cathedral, the Pontalba Buildings, the Presbytere and the Cabildo, which served as Colonial seats of government. Continue along the historic Esplanade Avenue, lined with its original mansions and townhouses, toward the Faubourg St. John, where you will visit an above ground City of the Dead, St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery. You will then visit City Park, once a thriving sugar plantation and now the fifth largest municipal park in the nation. Traveling up Carrollton Avenue, you will view picturesque Tulane and Loyola Universities followed by a trip up St. Charles Avenue with a view of some of the most stately mansions and gardens. This part of the tour is followed by a seated lunch at Commander's Palace, since 1880 a New Orleans landmark and now a culinary Mecca. Finally, you’ll end the tour with a visit to the Central Business District, Riverwalk Shopping Complex, and Warehouse district.
OPTION TWO: CAJUN AND CREOLE CUISINE
10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
The local New Orleans chefs can be colorful characters, and you will get one of the best teaching you the techniques and secrets that get to the very soul of Cajun and Creole cooking. You will learn the differences in the various styles of cooking in Louisiana and receive copies of recipes to take home with you to dazzle family and friends with your newfound culinary skills. During the demonstrations, traditional New Orleans-style coffee will be served. Following the demonstrations you will enjoy a great meal of traditional New Orleans fare.
