Membership Categories

Standard Member
Any U.S. pest management operator/company located in a non-joint state (see below for a list of joint states). Included in this category are U.S. territories (such as Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, etc).

Joint Member
Any pest management operator/company located in a joint state. The joint state/national program requires that any pest management company belonging to the NPMA must also belong to the state association (and vice versa). The joint states affiliated with NPMA are as follows: AZ, AR, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NC, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, PUERTO RICO and CANADA.

Allied Member
Any company (domestic or international) that provides a product or service to the pest control industry.

International Member
Any pest management company (which does treatments or applications) located outside of the U.S. or its territories.

Full Associate Member
Any individual who is qualified by reason of experience/training in biology, chemistry, sanitation or related sciences to the pest control industry. Entomologists and consultants fall under this category.

Limited Associate Member
Any individual who meets the full associate criteria, who works for a government agency or manufacturing company NOT directly involved in the pest control industry. Home inspectors fall into this category.

Student Associate Member
Any individual enrolled at least half-time in an accredited institution of higher education. Must provide proof of enrollment.

Company Associate Member
Any company who is in agreement with the purposes of the Association and is qualified by reason of experience or training in biology, chemistry, sanitation or allied sciences related to the practice of pest control; is involved in programs relating to the control or management of pests; and is not otherwise eligible for company membership in the Association.
