Bayer Environmental Science along with the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) are pleased to present the “Young Scientist of the Year” contest. “The Young Scientist of the Year” is a scholarship and grant program for graduate students to acknowledge and financially support exceptional research that advances the pest management industry.
At the Opening Ceremony of PestWorld 2006, October 25 in Grapevine, Texas, scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 will be granted to three finalists whose research advances knowledge on the biology, behavior, ecology, or management of pest species. The winner of the competition, the “Young Scientist of the Year,” will also receive a $10,000 grant to continue his/her research. In addition, a $1,000 scholarship will be donated to the general scholarship fund at the schools attended by each of the three finalists.
To coincide with the “Young Scientist of the Year” award, Bayer Environmental Science and the NPMA have launched a Virtual Job Fair that showcases CVs, resumes and research from the participants in the “Young Scientist of the Year” competition. Below you will find the CVs, resumes and research from the next generation of technical talent in the pest management industry.
