MISSION STATEMENT
Professional Women in Pest Management (PWIPM) is an affiliate group of NPMA whose mission is to attract, develop and support women in the pest management industry through educational programs, resources and peer networking.

PWIPM Donates Over 100 Outfits to Benefit “Dress for Success”
PWIPM is proud to announce they have collected over 100 outfits, as well as shoes and accessories, to benefit the Washington, D.C. Dress for Success location. The PWIPM kicked off their 2008-2009 community service initiative at NPMA’s PestWorld 2008 with the ultimate goal of collecting 750 outfits across the United States and the United Kingdom.
Founded in 1997, Dress for Success is an international non-profit organization that promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women. By providing women with professional attire, a support network through its Professional Women’s Group and career development tools, Dress for Success affords women the essential means to find and sustain full time employment.
Through the remainder of 2008 and into 2009, members of PWIPM will collect gently-used professional clothes and accessories in their local communities, allowing women – outside the pest management profession – to support this deserving cause.
“We thank all of the pest management industry that contributed to the success of our community service initiative,” said Emily Thomas, president of Arrow Exterminators in Atlanta, GA and co-chair of PWIPM. “Knowing that the clothes we have collected will benefit more than one hundred women and give them the added confidence they need is tremendous, and reiterates the true spirit of our industry.”
